Elkhorn Sporthorses is a small horse breeding farm dedicated to the Trakehner horse.
We are located in the Sierra Foothills east of Fresno, California.
Our winters are mild and green but summer is hot and dry. Our horses live outside on a rolling 20 acre pasture and are handled daily.

Our official breeding program was founded with the purchase of the imported Trakehner Stallion, Kantor II. Kantor was a gentleman and incredible horse. We were very privileged to be his final owners. Kantor has since moved on but he left his mark on our hearts and with one special mare - Belleperle (Kantor x Banjo Belle TrakTB).
At present we have 3 broodmares and a number of youngsters. Our mission is to breed quality over quantity with an emphasis on outstanding temperament, trainability, athleticism and striking beauty - all characteristics of the noble Trakehner horse!.
We love all horses but...the Trakehner is our passion.
